Dr. Sarah Scarbrough receives NCADD Bronze Key Award at the McShin Foundation’s 9th Annual Spring Awards Banquet

The Award is a national recognition award granted by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence for Affiliate presentation to an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the field and the Affiliate. It is the highest local award presented by Affiliates. The Award is a "bronze" key mounted on wood with a plate engraved with the NCADD name and logo and space provided for engraving by the Affiliate with its name, the name of the recipient and date of presentation.

Dr. Sarah Scarbrough has dedicated thousands of hours to innovative research aimed at improving the criminal justice system in her home state. Sarah earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012. Dozens of media outlets across the nation have featured her research regarding substance use and recidivism rates.
